On June 12-13, a two-day seminar “Hospitality in the Digital World: Training on Effective SMM Promotion for Family Guest Houses” took place in Samarkand, bringing together 18 representatives of family guest houses (CBTs). The event was an eye-opener for CBTs into the world of digital technology and marketing.
Participants learned about advanced methods of promoting their services, immersed themselves in the exciting process of creating marketing materials and strategies, learned to understand the mechanisms of SMM, creating bright posts, videos and advertising campaigns that will help attract tourists and raise the level of service to a new level.
As part of the seminar, representatives of family guest houses learned how to:
– Use social networks as a powerful tool to attract tourists.
– Create unique content that reflects the authenticity and uniqueness of their family guesthouses.
– Develop digital marketing strategies that will help increase customer traffic and loyalty.
The project was implemented under USAID’s Future Growth Initiative Project. The Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA) together with the Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Department for Tourism Development of Samarkand Region acted as organizers.
At the end of the seminar participants expressed their sincere gratitude to the organizers for the unique opportunity to join the world of digital marketing. For many it became a good incentive for further development.
