WHAT IS CBT?

Unique nature and rich traditions are one of the main components of success for the development of rural tourism. All this are undoubtedly presented in a country full of impressions and wonders – Uzbekistan!

Modern tourists are increasingly choosing alternative travel options, such as CBT (Community Based Tourism). This is a fashionable direction of ecotourism, in which the most important component is living in an environment that is as close as possible to the living conditions of ordinary residents of a particular country.

CBT tourism is becoming more and more popular among tourists who want to get acquainted with the traditions and lifestyle of local residents, enjoy the view of nature, feel a different atmosphere of life.

This type of tourism is based on the use of the tourism potential of rural areas with living in family homes of local residents. Given that the number of tourists coming to Uzbekistan is constantly increasing, the number of family guest houses is also growing.

Guest houses, bringing profit to the owners, perform another important function – they create jobs.

CBT tourism is becoming more and more popular among Western tourists who want to get to know the traditions and life of local residents. In addition, if desired, they can participate in rural labor and Handicrafts, walk along mountain paths to little-known, sometimes unique places, and enjoy the pristine nature.

Tourists are accepted here as dear guests. Local residents teach guests to ride donkeys, milk cows, goats, camels, Shearer sheep, cook national dishes, mow hay, harvest ripe grapes, cotton with pleasure, and, no less exciting, give lessons in carpet making, embroidery suzane, clay modeling dishes and so on.
