Born in Bukhara, Nodir Naimovich Khakberdiyev has always dreamed of creating something meaningful in the hospitality industry. Having gone from the restaurant business to the owner of his own family guesthouse, he found his true calling by creating a space where guests could plunge into the atmosphere of warmth, traditions and cultural heritage of Bukhara.

However, Nodir was not alone on this path – his wife Mukhabat Rakhimovna Yunusova and son Naimov Nemat Nodirovich played a key role in the formation of the family business.

Mukhabat Rakhimovna, supported the launch of the family guesthouse at every stage of development. Her experience and wisdom became an integral part of the successful formation of the project. Mukhabat was not only involved in the management, but also in creating an atmosphere of coziness and hospitality, which became the trademark of their home. Her attention to detail and care for guests has made the family guesthouse a special place where people return again and again.

The Hakberdievs’ son, Naimov Nemat Nodirovich, has also made a huge contribution to the development of the family business. While receiving education at Bukhara state university, he actively helped in creating the development strategy of the guesthouse.

His modern ideas and knowledge became the basis for the implementation of innovative solutions, which allowed not only to attract new guests, but also to increase the competitiveness of the business.

The family guesthouse, which opened its doors in 2022, was the result of much thought and planning by the family. The dream of opening a home for tourists had been in Nodir’s mind for a long time, but it was only after his son entered university that the plans began to take shape. The name of the family guest house “Nemo” was chosen so that it would be easy to pronounce and remember for foreign guests, which emphasizes the family’s desire to make the house accessible and hospitable for tourists from all over the world.

The first steps towards establishing the business were full of challenges. Financial issues, the challenges of promoting a new project, and creating a unique offering for guests had to be faced. But thanks to the cohesion of the family, Nemo managed to overcome all the difficulties.

Cooperation with the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA) and participation in The USAID Future Growth Initiative was an important step for the family business. Families gained invaluable experience and knowledge by participating in trainings and seminars, which helped them improve the quality of services and introduce new service standards. The Family Guesthouse Classification Program, in which “Nemo” participated, has raised the level of service and reached new heights in the tourism industry.

In the future, the Hakberdiyev family plans to expand the family guesthouse by increasing the number of rooms and introducing environmental solutions to improve the sustainability of the business.

Their goal is to create not just a place for recreation, but a real center of Bukhara’s cultural heritage and traditions, where every guest can feel the family warmth and true Uzbek hospitality.
