Surkhandaria Region – Hospitality Uzbekistan

Here, through an Iron Gate in a mountain gorge, trade caravans moved. This way were the troops of Alexander the great, Genghis Khan, and Amir Timur. Neanderthal remains were found in the cave of Teshik – Tash in Baisun, and Mesolithic rock paintings were found in the kugitanga mountains. Termez is the center of Surkhandarya region. The centuries-old way of life has been preserved here.

The nature here is beautiful: the steppes, green meadows and a mountain stream. Baisun people decorate their homes with suzans, clothes and shoes with ornaments and embroidery, and paint ceramic dishes.

In each yard there is a tandoor-a clay oven for making cakes. Here flour is ground on hand or water mills, grain is grown in their fields.

Craftsmen and blacksmiths make tools, tools, utensils and jewelry for the residents. Traditions, home-building culture and family rituals are passed down from generation to generation. Baisun is a small island far from civilization.

The birth of a child, a wedding, and a funeral are accompanied by certain rituals that have been preserved since pagan times.

Here you can experience the whole life of the middle ages. In the spring, the dehkans cultivate the land in the old-fashioned way, laying furrows, relying on a plow, which is harnessed by a horse.

Tourists can also visit fields where they will be met by dehkans and can show how to properly plow and cultivate fields, feed and contact horses, and harvest crops.
