Tashkent Region – Hospitality Uzbekistan

tashkent region

When talking about tourism in Uzbekistan, many people imagine ancient cities, centuries-old history, and unique architecture. But Uzbekistan is more than history.

Modern Uzbekistan can offer tourists many options for recreation and leisure.

There is also extreme tourism, where you can walk along mountain paths under the close supervision of guides, going on tours of different complexity. And a new direction, such as rural tourism, is already popular among tourists from Europe.

The contrast of climatic conditions and vegetation, amazing landscapes of mountain valleys, slopes, snow peaks, narrow mountain trails, noisy waterfalls and turbulent mountain rivers, blue lakes, picturesque mountain villages with their ancient original folk traditions-all this can be appreciated by going to Beldersay. Tourists are also interested in the ethnographic specifics of mountain inhabitants, the uniqueness of individual villages and auls. Here you will find a lot of unforgettable impressions and memories of the indescribable beauty of the mountains. You will experience the excitement of skiing and snowboarding on pistes and wild slopes, and will undoubtedly want to screw up again.

Arriving in the capital, the nearest mountain zone is waiting for you in an hour’s drive from Tashkent.

Tashkent region includes several popular tourist areas for recreation. The first of them we will introduce you to the Beldersay ski resort. Beldersay has the longest ski run in Uzbekistan, as well as a cable car with a length of more than 3 km. Here is a real expanse for tourists: a network of entertainment services, mountain forests, rocks, gorges, snowfields, various health resorts, Wellness and excursion and educational complexes. The Beldersay river originates at the top of the Big Chimgan mountain. In the middle course of the river there is a large clearing where you can see tourist tents. From the big glade of Beldersay, you can climb the URTA Kumbel pass, which leads down to the Marble river. Marble river is a popular place for Hiking. In its lower reaches there are local attractions in the form of a large number of fossilized shells, indicating that there was once an ocean here. In the upper reaches of the Beldersay gorge, you can see rock paintings of ancient hunters. You will certainly be interested in the scenes of hunting mountain goats, as well as drawings where you can see the first domestic animals-a cat and a dog. The advantages of the Beldersay mountain zone are determined primarily by the climate, the beauty and diversity of nature, the presence of healing mineral springs, natural and historical monuments. Especially attractive are the middle mountains with juniper forests.

If you go from the other side of Tashkent, you can get to the Charvak reservoir.

This Pearl of the Western Tien Shan appeared only recently, in 1970. It was then that a stone-filled dam with a height of 168 meters was created, behind which, at the confluence of the Pskov, Koksu and Chatkal rivers, a mountain lake was formed – the Charvak reservoir – the blue water of which beckons on hot summer days.

Once here, on the site of the current bottom, there were settlements, mounds, evidence of the sites of primitive man, petroglyphs and other historical monuments.

Located 60 km away. from Tashkent, the Charvak reservoir, often referred to simply as Charvak, is the most popular holiday destination for local residents. The shoreline of the reservoir is almost 100 km long, and half of this length is covered by many recreation areas, boarding houses and children’s camps. It offers a beautiful view of the peaks of Big and Small Chimgan, and other rocky mountains, which are also popular tourist attractions among residents and visitors of the capital.

Getting to the Charvak reservoir will not be difficult: just an hour by car on the high-speed highway from Tashkent and a clean mountain lake is already at your feet. Here you can swim, walk around the surrounding hills and mountains, as well as fly on a paraglider or ride with the wind on a scooter, and, of course, see incredible sunrises and sunsets.
