The state encourages entrepreneurs to create guest houses

The Cabinet of Ministers will support the creation of family guest houses. The relevant decree was signed by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov.

Family guest house – a private household that provides temporary accommodation and (or) catering services for up to 10 visitors (tourists) at the same time based on the principle of their joint stay in this family guest house with the owner of the house and members of his family. An important condition for organizing a family guest house is the availability of living space at a rate of 3 m2 per person living. The decree provides for other requirements for these accommodation facilities.

Family guesthouse services are provided by individual entrepreneurs or family business entities. Registration and maintenance of the Unified Register of Family Guest Houses is carried out by the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the Development of Tourism.

A simplified certification system for family guest house services is provided. It is carried out by their inclusion in the Unified Register of Family Guest Houses on the basis of the act of studying the family guest house, with the issuance of the relevant extract from the Unified Register of Family Guest Houses.

It is recommended that commercial banks, at the request of individual entrepreneurs and family business entities included in the Unified Register of Family Guest Houses, provide loans on concessional terms. Loan size – up to 300 minimum wages at a rate not exceeding the refinancing rate of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan for a period of 5 years, including with a 2-year grace period.

At the same time, half of the amount of interest on loans issued by commercial banks, the interest rate of which does not exceed 1.5 times the refinancing rate of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, is subsidized from the funds of the off-budget Tourism Support Fund under the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Ministry of Finance in conjunction with the State Committee for Tourism Development instructed to make proposals within three months to establish a separate fixed tax rate for individual entrepreneurs providing family guesthouse services, depending on their location and category.
