Dilafruz Kadyrova

41 years, Tersak

Today, the heroine of Success Stories Dilafruz Kadyrova, 41. Dilyafruz lives in the village of Tersak in the Urgut district of the Samarkand region. She is raising two children alone. In May 2021, she received a loan and opened her family guest house.

Dilafruz is very proud of the fact that he lives in his village. Tersak is a unique village, pristine nature, clean mountain air, adobe houses. The residents of the village themselves produce basic necessities: fermented dairy products, bread, vegetables and fruits, meat. The unique nature has given everything to create tourist routes here. The Tersak River flows on the territory of the village, from here they take tourists to the lake shore or to see a beautiful waterfall, ride horses and participate in the harvest.

In May 2021, Dilafruz and her relatives opened their guest house, where she created all the necessary conditions for receiving tourists. The new private enterprise contributed to the creation of three jobs. "Previously, many foreign tourists came here, but due to the quarantine, their number has significantly decreased. Therefore, we have focused on domestic tourism, " Dilafruz says. Dilafruz has a lot of plans, she has developed her own business plan, but now she does not have enough funds to expand her business.

Today, the guest house can accommodate up to 10 tourists. If there were more funds for expansion, they could accept up to 60 people. "Our village is worth investing subsidies here, everything is natural here, we produce everything ourselves: vegetables, fruits, milk, meat, eggs, " Dilyafruz believes.

Despite her age, Dilyafruz still decided to take part in seminars organized by the Association of Private Tourism Organizations within the framework of the USAID Project. After the seminars, Dilafruz Kadyrova's life has rapidly cnahged, she realized for sure that she wanted to open her own business in the tourism sector. The lack of basic knowledge in the field of management and marketing among rural residents has become a stumbling block in the implementation of their many ambitions and ideas. Therefore, many young residents mostly go to study in the city or in the capital and stay there.

"I learned a lot of new things for myself at the training seminars," says Dilyafruz.
– How to open your own guest house, what are seasonal rooms for tourists, tourists  love for national dishes, traditional dishes

and household items, tourist reception service - all this opened up great opportunities for me.  It is worth holding such educational events more often in our village. For example, our women at the seminar gained a lot of knowledge, their horizons expanded in many ways. Our men go abroad to work, women work in factories, in production, we would attract our youth to develop the tourist opportunities of the village, create new jobs, "Dilyafruz believes. Since the opening of the guest house, the Dilafruz family has hosted more than 20 people. After receiving the loan, they made a large repair in the house, equipped with modern equipment, household appliances. Today, Dilafruz plans to build an additional wing to the house, build a greenhouse, a swimming pool. And if the Internet and Wi-Fi are laid in the village, Dilafruz plans to open pages in world social networks and promote the ads.

Well, the presence of the intended goal is a direct path to success, which we wish our heroine of the

success story. The success story was developed by the Association of Private Tourism Organizations of Uzbekistan (APTA) with the support of the with the support of the USAID Future Growth Initiative Project.
